In addition to my published reports, I provide advice, consultancy and training for a range of organisations. In April 2009, I was appointed as a Local Improvement Adviser (LIA) on climate change and environmental leadership. Appointed by government, LIAs provide advice, coaching, training and mentoring to support local partnerships in delivering public services.
Other recent work includes:
- Advice to the Cumbria Strategic Partnership on measures to reduce carbon emissions across Cumbria.
- Working with a team from The National Trust, Green Alliance and leading companies including Tesco, National Express and Centrica, to develop a set of policy proposals for the Prime Minister’s office on measures to encourage green behaviour in the home.
- In partnership with Forum for the Future, helping the NorthWest Development Agency develop futures scenarios to support the development of their Single Regional Strategy.
- Running workshops on environmental appraisal in government for postgraduates at Leeds University’s Sustainability Research Institute.
